Jason Hirt is a drummer, songwriter, and educator from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jason’s musical journey began at the age of six, when he first picked up a pair of drumsticks and began taking lessons through a local music shop in his hometown of Prior Lake, Minnesota. Throughout his teenage years and into college, Jason studied at McNally Smith College of Music in Saint Paul, MN, exploring jazz, latin, rock and R&B styles to expand his musical vocabulary. Jason also attended Full Sail University where he completed his Bachelors degree of Science in Music Business.

Jason has performed with many different groups throughout the Minnesota and Mid-West music scene. Most notably, as part of the progressive rock group Conduit. Jason has since developed an international resume, touring North America and Europe with Post-Black Metal band Ghost Bath (Nuclear Blast Entertainment). Jason has also toured with Pop-Rock outfit City of the Weak, as well as part of the Post-Hardcore five piece The Following..

Jason has worked with many world-class producers and engineers, including Craig Owens (Chiodos, D.R.U.G.S., Isles and Glaciers), Jordan DiSorbo (Before Their Eyes), Josh Schroeder (King 810, The Color Morale, For Today) and Brandon Buttner (Justin Timberlake, Leona Lewis, Busta Rhymes).
